This group plan can provide employees additional benefit protection in two key areas.

Offer a “Hospital Confinement Benefit” to offset the high out of pocket exposure of today’s PPACA plans should the covered employee have a hospital confinement from sickness or accident. Design a plan from $500 up to $10,000 benefit pay out per year.

Add an “Outpatient Benefit Rider (OP-2)” to mitigate the employee’s personal expenses from the medical plan’s deductible and coinsurance. Design a plan from $250 up to $2,500 of OP-2 benefit pay out per year.

Covered OP-2 benefits may include but are not limited to Hospital Emergency Room treatment of injury or sickness, outpatient surgeries, diagnostic testing (lab work, x-rays, MRI’s, CT scans), outpatient radiation therapy or chemotherapy.
